The\u00a0Institute of the Incarnate Word\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>was the first branch of the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word to be founded by\u00a0Fr. Carlos Miguel Buela\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>in 1984. The Institute of the Incarnate Word draws its spirituality from the mystery of the Incarnation; it was founded on the Solemnity of the Annunciation, March 25th, 1984 in San Rafael, Argentina. A few years later Fr. Buela founded a female branch (Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matar\u00e1, Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matar\u00e1, SSVM<\/a>), and a secular Third Order.<\/p>

Fr. Buela, IVE wanted our Religious Family and the male branch to be name “of the Incarnate Word”, in order to honor the greatest event in history,\u00a0 an event which cannot be surpassed by any other: The Incarnation of the Son of God.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

By means of the profession of the vows of poverty,\u00a0 chastity and obedience<\/em>, they want to imitate and follow more closely the Incarnate Word in his chastity, poverty and obedience. In addition, they\u00a0 profess a fourth vow of Marian slavery<\/em>, according to the spirit of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort. By means of this vow, they consecrate their whole lives to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The religious of the Incarnate Word, want to be anchored in the mystery of the Incarnation, as St. John Paul II has said, \u201cIt is the first and fundamental mystery of Jesus Christ.\u201d From this mystery, they want to undertake \u201cto reestablish all things in Christ\u201d (Eph 1:10), seeking to be as another Incarnation of the Word in order to make Him incarnate in all that is human. They are aware that, as St. Irenaeus teaches, \u201cthat which is not assumed is not redeemed\u201d. Thus, nothing that is authentically human is foreign to us, because the life of grace that Jesus Christ came to bring to the world must be brought to everything and everyone.<\/p>

The Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE) is a religious order that consists of priests,brothers, and seminarians. Missionaries and Marian.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

They are a missionary order.<\/i><\/b>\u00a0\u201cMissionary activity is nothing else and nothing less than an epiphany, or a manifesting of God\u2019s decree, and its fulfillment in the world and in world history, in the course of which God, by means of mission, manifestly works out the history of salvation. By the preaching of the word and by the celebration of the sacraments, the center and summit of which is the most holy Eucharist, He brings about the presence of Christ, the author of salvation (Ad Gentes<\/a> #9, Vatican II]).\u201d They are convinced the world cannot be transformed apart from Christ and His Church.\u00a0<\/p>

They are Marian.<\/i><\/b> In addition to their profession of the vows of the evangelic council, they profess a fourth vow to Mary, Marian slavery, following the spirit of St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort.
