Joint School Christmas Party 2018

In the evening of 23 December, our youth in Hong Kong SS. Peter and Paul Parish held a Joint School Christmas Party. Students from 3 Catholic Secondary Schools nearby were invited.  Most of the participants were the members of the Catholic Society of the schools. From the parish, we had youth from University, working youth and missionaries in Hong Kong. Altogether there were around 20 participants.

We began our program with an introduction of the participants, so that the students and youth could get to know one another.  Afterwards, we made a brief prayer at the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.  The youth were reminded about the real meaning of Christmas: it was about the Word made flesh who came to bring us salvation.

Afterwards, we had games at the school Hall, dinner in hot-pot-style at the parish and finally a game with prizes of Christmas gifts, which were chocolate, candies and marshmallows. The participants happily shared their 'Christmas gift-prizes' on the spot.

We give thanks to God for the opportunity that the students could meet the parish youth and missionaries. On the other hand, a chance for us to establish a stronger friendship bond with them.
